Impressed by the upcoming ban on internal combustion engines, the British conceived two and four-seat versions of the crypto car with lifting doors. It is based on a monocoque made of composite using 3D printing technology. Inside is a "hidden cryptocurrency mining rig" and Lucy's face recognition assistant.

The London company Soventem Limited, founded in 2019 by businessman Robert Parson and his wife Rebecca, presented its eCryptoCar electric car in renderings. The model will be developed at the MIRA technopark with the assistance of the Israeli company REE Automotive and the American ClearMotion, a chassis specialist. If all goes according to plan, eCryptoCar will roll out onto British roads in March 2024.

The development is led by Indian Randeep Bogal, who previously worked in the Jaguar Land Rover group and Tata Motors, which is why he has 12 years of experience in the automotive industry. He is assisted by British racing driver Matt Neal, a three-time BTCC champion.

The Utility Patent Pending mining rig is a sophisticated platform that uses multiple temperature controlled mining cards with performance controlled remotely by Soventem.

The mining rig is hidden from view, but it works quietly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the background. The installation is charged from the built-in generator, part of the energy also comes from solar energy.

The publication Autocar reports: investments in Soventem come exclusively from the Parson family, high hopes are placed on crowdfunding.

“We decided not to become a mass manufacturer, but a niche manufacturer with a maximum capacity of 3000 machines per year,” says Robert.
