With the introduction of its first vehicle based on the Volkswagen Group's MEB modular electric vehicle platform, ŠKODA is taking the next step towards e-mobility. The four-day crossover coupe impresses with sporty, emotional lines and exudes a sense of spaciousness. A dynamic driving experience is provided by all-wheel drive and two 225 kW (306 hp) electric motors.

A design feature of the Skoda Vision iV is a full-width luminous strip connecting the LED headlights. In the future, it will become a hallmark of all Skoda electric cars. Behind: a small spoiler, C-shaped diode lights, an illuminated strip on the diffuser and Skoda font on the tailgate.

All doors are devoid of handles and open automatically, and the rear ones – against the move. Cameras instead of mirrors provide a 180-degree view. One of the spokes on each 22-inch wheel glows with the Skoda wordmark.

The Skoda Vision iV has a range of 500 km on a WLTP cycle, and the liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 83 kWh and can be charged up to 80% in 30 minutes at fast charging stations.

The electric vehicle uses advanced Level 3 autonomous driving technology, whose work is provided by a set of laser scanners, sensors and cameras. Thanks to her, the car is calmly oriented in the environment, capable of autonomous driving and parking.

The interior is considered vegan, so Ultrasuede synthetic suede, Dinamica recycled plastic upholstery and vinyl fibers are used. The front panel consists of two levels with a frame of wooden slats between them. Seats swivel, two screens "float".

The concept car supports seamless integration with the owner's smartphone and is able to communicate directly with other road users.

The electric car is equipped with an innovative infotainment system with access to numerous Skoda online services, which supports voice and gesture control, and also perceives the owner's smartphone as a digital key.

Of the features of the electric car, one can distinguish the control of the driver's heart rate by the car, depending on the changes in which Vision iV is able not only to automatically slow down, but also to stop completely.

The production version of the Vision iV is due to enter the assembly line of the Zwickau plant in 2020, side by side with twins from other brands of the VW Group.
