Choice for women: be untouchable or easily accessible

For a long time it was believed, and some women still think, that the hard-to-reach people have the best chances to win the heart of a man. However, in reality, most men do not like such women. The fact is that in the society of an impregnable woman, men constantly experience tension and discomfort. And who wants to run into rejection (which can be perceived as a humiliation), if the world is full of other women. Of course, there are men for whom the forbidden fruit is the sweetest, and they will strive by any means to pick it. But, having picked one forbidden fruit and enjoyed it, he will want to pick some other, no less forbidden, because for such a man, achieving a goal is more important than having what has been achieved.

If being hard-to-reach isn't too good, then maybe it's much better to be an easy-to-reach woman? And this is not true. A man who easily possesses a woman will be in constant doubt: if she so readily threw herself into his arms, then where is the guarantee that she will not throw herself into the arms of another man with equal readiness? As the data of numerous studies show, in those couples who begin an intimate life quickly (from the second or third meeting), it most often does not come to marriage. According to psychologists, in order for a man to have a love feeling and a desire to marry, it must naturally mature. An excessively fast beginning of an intimate life (even if it is magnificent) interferes with the maturation of feelings and desires.

The truth, as always, lies somewhere between the two extremes. On the one hand, a woman should not be easily accessible, and on the other, touchy. Psychologists have called women who are most attractive to men selectively available. That is, this is a picky woman who openly prefers one man, but is inaccessible to others.

This conclusion is also confirmed by an experiment conducted by psychologists from the University of Wisconsin in the USA. Male students were offered photographs of equally attractive and even outwardly similar women with questionnaires in which these women evaluated five (same) partners. One was enthusiastic about all five, another coldly rejected them all, and the third was not particularly flattering about the four, but was very interested in the fifth. Students unanimously considered her the most attractive!
