Hohenzollern Castle (Hohenzollern Castle) is one of the most impressive historical structures in Germany, attracting thousands of tourists with its beauty and grandeur. This castle was the ancestral home of the powerful Hohenzollern dynasty, which ruled Prussia and Brandenburg from the 12th to the 20th century. The castle is located on top of Mount Hohenzollern in the Swabian Alps, 50 kilometers from Stuttgart, the capital of Baden-Württemberg. At an altitude of 855 meters, it offers stunning views of the surrounding landscapes.

Hohenzollern Castle has a rich and dramatic history reflected in its architecture and interiors. The first mention of the castle dates back to 1267, but it is assumed that it was built in the 9th century.

In 1423, the castle was destroyed by the troops of the Swabian League of Cities, who besieged it for several months. In 1454–1461, the castle was rebuilt and served as a refuge for the Swabian branch of the Hohenzollerns during the Thirty Years' War. However, by the end of the 18th century, the castle had lost its strategic importance and began to decay. Only the Chapel of Saint Michael remains from the second castle.

The third and modern castle was erected in 1850–1867 at the initiative of King Frederick William IV of Prussia, who wanted to create a family monument for the Hohenzollerns. The castle was built in the neo-Gothic style according to the project of architect Friedrich August Stüler. The castle was never used as a permanent residence by the Hohenzollerns, serving instead as a museum and repository of their treasures. In 1945, the castle became the home of the last Prussian Crown Prince Wilhelm, who was buried here with his wife Cecilia.
