The British company Aston Martin presented at the Geneva Motor Show 2018 a concept electric car Lagonda Vision Concept. According to brand representatives, the prototype shows the world a new design language that will begin to be implemented on production cars of the brand by 2021.
The Lagonda Vision Concept marks the launch of a new line of modern zero-emission luxury vehicles, and in this direction Lagonda aims to be the world's first brand.
As for the presented prototype Aston Martin Lagonda Vision Concept, the company does not disclose any data on the technical equipment of the machine with a futuristic design. It is only known that the concept includes solid-state batteries.
Such a power source provides the vehicle with a power reserve on one full charge of about 640 km. In addition, the electric car supports wireless charging technology.
Also, the equipment of the presented Aston Martin Lagonda Vision Concept electric concept car includes an all-wheel drive system with torque distribution separately for each wheel.
Undoubtedly, the lifting section of the roof can be attributed to the exterior design features of the presented prototype, which facilitates access for passengers of the second row of seats. The interior design of the model used materials such as carbon, ceramics, wool, cashmere and silk.
In addition, the concept has a level 4 autonomous control system. When the autopilot is activated, the front seats can rotate 180 degrees. There are also such "chips" as a concierge service and secure access to the network.
Aston Martin President and CEO Andy Palmer said:
“We believe that people associate luxury in their cars with a certain traditional and even old-fashioned approach, because today that is all that is available to them. Lagonda is designed to challenge this stereotype and prove that modernity and luxury are not mutually exclusive."
