AirPano is the world's largest resource for providing the highest quality 360° photos, usually taken from a bird's eye view. Filming is carried out mainly from helicopters and drones, but planes, airships and hot air balloons are also used.

With the AirPano service, you can view the most amazing places on our planet from a bird's eye view (and not only) using only the keyboard and mouse (also works on mobile devices):

  • You can rotate the panorama with the mouse or use the arrows on the keyboard;
  • To zoom in or out, scroll the mouse wheel;
  • The "helicopter" icon indicates the points to which you can move. To get to such a point, click on the "helicopter";
  • To descend to the ground, click on the "traveler" icon.

Volcanoes are one of the most interesting creations of nature. This is not at all a “mountain from which smoke comes and lava flows”, as it might seem at first glance. Volcanoes are not only terrestrial, but also underwater; they may be active, or they may be dormant, or even completely lose their ability to erupt. They also differ in shape: shield-shaped, cinder cones, domed or stratovolcanoes... Over the years of their work, the Airpano team has photographed a huge variety of different volcanoes located in all corners of our planet and representing the diversity of these unique geological formations.

This is a special combined tour that includes the best panoramas of such “celebrities” as the extinct stratovolcano Elbrus, the Plosky Tolbachik volcanic massif or the formidable Eyyafyatlayakudl, and their lesser-known “brothers”: these are Mutnovsky in Kamchatka, Grimsvotn in Iceland, Dallol in Ethiopia... Almost all the shooting took place in extreme conditions and were filled with adventure.

So, at an altitude of 5400 meters (namely, how much it was necessary to climb to shoot the Klyuchevskaya Sopka eruption!) There is too little oxygen for breathing, and the temperature reaches -50 °C. You have to shoot through open hatches, doors and windows, you often need to lean out into the icy wind – and even despite the periodic failure of equipment, the Airpano team managed to complete the task.

With our help, you can see the Icelandic volcano Trihnyukaigygur (Three Peaks) from the inside. The last time this giant erupted 4000 years ago, and now you can admire the traces of former activity. The different colors of the inner surfaces of the crater give the volcano an extraordinary image, and the dimensions of the magma chamber can be compared with three basketball fields in width and with the Statue of Liberty in height.

The panorama of Erta Ale, the most active volcano in Ethiopia, is very unusual. Its name translates as "smoking mountain", and this is not surprising. Erta Ale is one of five volcanoes in the world with a lava lake in its crater. Patterns of fire lanes and lava levels are constantly changing, "extra" lava constantly flows out of the crater and sometimes creates a second lava pool (there are no other similar examples among volcanoes).

The first active volcano, which became the "hero" of our panoramas, is the famous Kamchatka Plosky Tolbachik, reaching a height of 3140 meters. On November 27, 2012, a new eruption began here – the largest since 1975. Airpano representatives were among the first to film this historic moment. And the Yellowstone supervolcano, on the contrary, subsided hundreds of thousands of years ago, having covered most of the US National Park of the same name with frozen lava before that...
