Renault, Europe's leader in electric vehicle sales, has developed SYMBIOZ to show how energy can be exchanged between car and home. Energy is transmitted through a single intelligent network for the car and home and is controlled by artificial intelligence, which guesses the needs of a person. For example, the system can be programmed to use the energy stored in the car's battery to power lights, screens, and home appliances during peak hours. If there is a power outage in the house, the car will act as a backup source of energy, the flow of which can be configured and monitored.

The weight of the batteries has been distributed to optimize traction, while the two electric motors provide a combined power output of 500 kW and a maximum torque of 660 Nm, and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of less than six seconds.

Renault SYMBIOZ is the first concept car connected to the house. The SYMBIOZ concept demonstrates various scenarios for how the car can be used inside or near the home, as well as while traveling.
- In the first case, SYMBIOZ is located in the house and acts as an additional modular hall in the form of a red, mobile, interactive space.
- In the second scenario, SYMBIOZ illustrates a situation where the car becomes an extension of the home while traveling. The large cabin space is due to the SYMBIOZ's redesigned rear wheels, two electric motors located on the rear axle and batteries under the floor. The dashboard combination, which consists of rotating front seats, makes the SYMBIOZ ideal for autonomous driving in "mind-off" mode. In this mode, the driver can relax and chat with passengers, read a book or connect to the Internet. At that time, personalization technology allows you to automatically detect the driver and passengers, adjust the seats for them, play their favorite music and offer a wide range of infotainment options.
